Artist Spotlight at The Rodeo: The Sadies
The Sadies, a Torontonian alt-country four piece band, showcase brothers Dallas and Travis Good as the lead singers and guitarists. The bassist, Sean Dean, and the drummer, Mike Belitsky accompany the brothers, forming a quartet.
On February 12th, The Sadies released their new album, Northern Passages. Blending musical genres of alt-country and psychedelic folk, Northern Passages deals with living and surviving in the 21st century. The Sadies stay relevant, explanatory, and informative by discussing social issues related to contemporary subjects and world affairs.
The Sadies recorded Northern Passages in the basement of Dallas and Travis Good’s family home, inspiring their notably distinct sound. Defining their music uniquely as, ‘northern gothic,’ this genre unites all eleven tracks on the album.
