Artist Spotlight at The Rodeo: Martin Goyette
Born in St-Henri, Montreal, Quebec and learning the harp at a young age, Martin Goyette is a blues and soul musician and vocalist.
Big Beets is a blues rock album by Montreal, Quebec’s bluesman, Martin Goyette. A 10 track album displaying Martin Goyette’s playful style, Big Beets was released on Ad Litteram records on a May 26th.
Martin Goyette sings with a raspy voice, playing the harmonica with a jazz, blues, and funk flavour. Martin’s influences are Muddy Waters and Robert Johnson, who Martin Goyette started emulating at 18 years of age.
Playing at the Toronto Blues Summit, Martin recently performed at the International Jazz Sherblues Festival and the Tremblant International Blues Festival.
