Well we’re into September and the lazy days of summer are quickly fading away. But there’s still plenty going on in the Blues world.
RBG Cool Blues Wednesdays
The Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington Ontario wraps up another season of Cool Blues on Wednesday September 5th when Montrealer Justin Saladino performs. His latest release A Fool’s Heart has garnered rave reviews and he’s gaining fans wherever he goes with his intense blues/rock music.
Tim Horton’s Southside Shuffle
Like an on-rushing train, the Shuffle is almost upon us. It takes place September 7,8,9 in Port Credit Memorial Park and is billed as Mississauga’s musical Mardi Gras. It’s the 20th Anniversary and founder and artistic director Chuck Jackson(Downchild) and his team have pulled out all the stops to ensure a great celebration.
The shuffle features 4 stages (2 are free, 2 are ticketed), a street Shuffle, clubs featuring tons of acts, artisan market, food court, beer and wine gardens, and a wide variety of great restaurants in the area. As Chuck states “it’s fun for the whole family.”
There a just too many bands to mention.
